Divers who own both steel and aluminum cylinders know that they need to have their cylinders hydrostatically tested once every five years and visually inspected every year. But, one of the most over looked component of the cylinder is the valve. The valve should be serviced at a minimum once every five years. PSI belives that the best time to perform this service is at the time of the hydrostatic test. If this is done at that time you benefit by it being both cost effective and the shortest out of service period. Sometimes cylinders require tumbling in order to remove rust, corrosion, or for oxygen cleaning. Most dive shops in the Washington, DC region take weeks to provide this service, but we will have your cylinder back in a timely manner. Their are no long waits for ANY tank related service provided in house.

We follow strict CGA standards for oxygen cleaning and servicing. Our staff has been trained by multiple agencies in the proper procedures for oxygen cleaning your equipment. Whether you need your deco regulator cleaned or your cylinders oxygen compatible for mixed gas blending, we can service your gear properly the first time. For your safety, we use only dedicated oxygen cleaned tools while conducting oxygen service work.
