Professional Scuba Instruction's Recreational Training Philosophy
When you think of scuba diving, maybe you envision swimming lazily along coral reefs, snapping photos of colorful reef fish, maybe you would rather explore wrecks off the east coast, or maybe you want to don a dry suit and go ice diving. Whatever your goals are, our goal is to make sure that the training you receive starting from the beginning will enable you to be a safe thinking diver, no matter what environment you choose to dive in.
When you complete an Open Water Course with Professional Scuba Instruction, you will be more than just a beginner diver with just enough skill to dive the tranquil waters of the Caribbean. Our Open Water training site is a much more challenging environment, and you will be a more confident and proficient diver by learning in this environment. You will gain experience throughout your training programs so that you become a skilled and confident diver.
Our continuing education courses continue this trend. We believe that if you are trained thoroughly and properly, you will become a more confident diver, you will enjoy diving more, and you will continue to expand your boundaries and your diving horizons. Many of our divers start out saying that they will never be interested in wreck penetration, cave diving, or decompression diving. After a course or two with us, though, they usually start asking questions about what this training entails and what it takes to pursue dive training beyond the recreational level. Because of this trend, we train our students under the assumption that you may eventually be interested in moving beyond recreational limits. This doesn’t mean that your course will be more difficult; it means that you will be trained with the equipment, style, and philosophy that will make this transition natural and seamless.
