OPEN WATER DIVER:
This is where the adventure begins! This is a beginner level course. The open water diver course is the first certification course that will allow the diver to plan and execute dives to 60’ of water. Unlike most dive shop run courses, here at PSI we focus on mastery of skills. This means you will spend most of the course time in the pool mastering the necessary skills to become a proficient scuba diver, not in a class room listening to lectures. Once all skills are mastered, certification dives are conducted either locally or on one of our sponsored trips. You may choose a referral option as well, allowing you to go anywhere in the world.
ADVANCED DIVER:
Generally considered the next step in continuing education for the open water diver is the advanced diver certification. This course is designed to get the diver diving. To accomplish this, there are no formal lectures required for this course but there are five required dives. There are two core dives, the deep dive and the navigation dive, followed by three dives that are selected by the student from a list of approved topics. The goal in this course is to expose the student to the different types of diving that are possible and to get them the required prerequisites for future courses.
SPECIALTIES: PACKAGE 5 SPECIALTIES AND SAVE $200
Chose an area of diving and spend time learning the specific aspects of that area of diving. Get certified as a wreck diver so that you can explore wrecks inside and out. Take a deep diver course so that you can reach depths of 130’ and further your diving abilities. Take a NITROX course so that you can increase your bottom time. Learn the necessary skills to begin becoming a Master Scuba Diver by completing five specialties. The specialties will give you a solid base knowledge so that you can complete the dives safely and also continue to train to become an expert in a particular diving area.
RESCUE:
Have you ever wanted to assist another diver but were not quite sure how to do it correctly? Well, this course is your first step to becoming a diver who not only looks after himself, but also has the knowledge and skills to effectively rescue another diver. The rescue course is a prerequisite for any professional level certification but not only does it allow you to take the next course, it teaches you how to be a better diver/dive buddy. This occurs because the course goals are to teach awareness of diver safety, to anticipate problems so that they are prevented, and proper rescues.
PROFESSIONAL:
Do you love to scuba dive? Then go pro! With PADI’s professional level courses which allow you to supervise certified divers, assist with teaching classes and even conducting classes of your own. The Dive Master (DM) is the first step to a life changing decision that opens up numerous possibilities from teaching diving in the south pacific to running your own charter boat or dive resort. Already a DM? Why not take the next step to assistant instructor or instructor and let dreams become reality!
SNORKELING:
Learn to snorkel and you open up a whole new world. Water makes up over 70% of the earth so why not scratch the surface and learn to snorkel today. It is a great way to interact with the family on a vacation.
SKIN DIVING:
Do you like to go underwater while snorkeling but do not want all of the gear that scuba divers carry? The skin diver course will teach you how to be a proficient breath-hold diver so that you can explore the oceans without all of the cumbersome gear that scuba divers wear.
