Open Water Diver
Description:
This course is the first course in your diving adventure. It will successfully prepare you for planning and completing open water dives to depths of 60’. It covers the basics of diving physiology, physics, environmental concerns, water skills, dive planning, dive gear and much more needed information to dive safely.
The course is either offered as a complete full course or as a referral course. For the full course, you complete your open water certification dives with us. For the referral course, you can do your certification dives anywhere in the world. Both courses include the same knowledge development (classroom time) and skill development (pool time) as described above, the only difference is where the final certification dives are completed. Remember classroom time can be completed a number of ways so contact us and ask us about your options for completing this portion of the course.
Prerequisites: None
Requirements: 10 years old or older, 4 open water dives for certification
Class Size: Private and Semi-Private
Required Gear For Student to Purchase: Personal snorkeling gear (mask, fins, snorkel, boots). A full 3mm wetsuit is highly recommended.
Course Fees Include: Educational materials, certification fees, and the use of a regulator, buoyancy control device, SCUBA cylinders, and weight belt with weight, for all pool sessions, as well as your Open Water Certification dives. No gear to rent like at other shops! DOESN'T include entrance fees to the quarry.
