Become a Divemaster

This course focuses on all aspects of diver education. The Divemaster course is the first step to becoming a diving professional. The course is designed  to expand a diver’s knowledge and experience by giving real world experience to the Divemaster candidate. The Divemaster learns to look beyond themselves to consider the safety and well-being of other divers. This training is actually more of a mentor relationship where the candidate assists with classes learning how to react to situations. Divemaster training expands the basic problem prevention and accident management skills student divers learned during their Open Water Diver courses and then shows them how to uses it in a leadership fashion. At the Divemaster level, students are ready to learn to manage more complex dive emergencies and to apply direct intervention techniques to assist others in an emergency. By its nature, the course is demanding and realistic in its conduct, content and approach. As a Divemaster you well be able to lead certified divers on dive excursions and assist instructors with teaching classes.

The Divemaster Course consists of academic training sessions, confined water training sessions, and multiple open water exercises conducted over multiple days.
