The Assistant Instructor (AI) course is an intensive course preparing students for the instructor course. The course is designed to take an experienced divemaster and teach them the methods to assist in the training of recreational divers. The candidate will learn how to teach classroom, pool, and open water training sessions. Upon successful completion of the course, a certified AI is a great resource to the instructor. AI's commonly evaluate certain skills during open water training for a number of courses, assist with confined water classes, and even help lecture in certain situations.
